Despite history tending to concentrate its attention on red and white wines in viticulture, rosé wines have nothing to envy of them in terms of quality, presence, flavor and reputation. Unmistakable aromas, interesting variations and a taste as light as it is delicate, rosé wines are characterized by their freshness, fruity taste and cheerful spirit; Contrary to the popular believe of the inexperienced public, rosé wine is not a mix of both red and white wine, nor should it be related to low quality grapes or low alcohol contents. The grapes used in its production are of the up most quality and its alcohol content usually sits around 12.5%. The essence of this wine resides in the fact that it has very little contact with the skins of the grapes during maceration (around 24 hours), and as a result produces a color that is less intense than its red counterpart.
